RACCOON TRAPPING SERVICES

WE ONLY TRAP RACCOONS WHEN THERE ARE NO BABIES INVOLVED. We charge a FLAT RATE TRAPPING FEE for One (1) week of RACCOON trapping. There is NO set up fee, NO per animal fee, NO need for an estimate or quote. The trapping fee is all inclusive: Five (5) trips out every single day (Monday through Friday) to set the traps, check the traps and to relocate any Raccoon trapped. It is the law in the State of Georgia that the traps are checked every single day – No exceptions.

Daily trap checking is important for many reasons. First of all, It’s the law. Secondly, it is more humane to the raccoons but equally important. Lastly, it enables us to make the most out of your trapping dollars by our Professional Wildlife Technicians having the opportunity to reposition any traps that are not productive and rebaiting if necessary. OUR RACCOON TRAPPING SUCCESS RATE (1 week): 100%.

RACCOON ATTIC EVICTION SERVICES

During the time of the year where Mother Raccoons are with their babies in your attic the only services that we are willing to exercise is to implement eviction measures. We strategically place a solution which has male raccoon hormones & pheromones’ in the attic to cause the Mom to flee WITH her babies. It is critical that the placement is done by a professional who is trained in this process OR the Mom could abandon the babies. However, there is always a small risk with a 1st time Mother that once we attempt to evict her she may abandon the babies regardless.

There is a reason for us to no longer offer trapping services during the baby season:

1) We are required by law to euthanize any raccoons trapped. If a trapper says he relocates them – it is illegal. We are not willing to break the law & Nor are we personally willing to euthanize baby raccoons.

2) Babies could go to a rehabber under the right conditions but since COVID – good luck finding a rehabber who is taking in any raccoons. The last hand removal job where we had to get a baby to a rehabber it took the office 3 days to locate a rehabber and then drove 3 hours each way to drop it off. We found the ethical way to abide by the law and keep the Mother & Babies intact and together is to use the Eviction process. We have had fantastic success with it.

RACCOON EXCLUSION (Repairs)

Exclusion is the act of using animal proof materials, devices and methods to keep the animals OUT. Once the animals are taken out, they leave behind odors, feces and scents which may attract other animals. Although we have taken the tenant away (far enough to never find their way back) it just clears the way for the next one to find their way in unless you block off its ability to “Get back IN”. Some of the most common entry areas for animals (not just Raccoons) are:

◊ Gable Vents ◊ Soffit Junctions ◊ Dryer/Bathroom Vents ◊ Construction Gap (Gutter Line) ◊ Holes

We only use the highest quality animal-proof materials and devices, therefore, we are proudly able to guarantee that no animal will get past the areas where we have performed the exclusion services. With all of this said, there is no way to give a price for exclusion work over the phone. WHILE we are setting up the traps it is necessary for us to determine how the animals are gaining access or entry into the building or property – this is when we are able to provide a proposal for the cost of the exclusion work. IF the proposal is acceptable we will perform the exclusion work while the trapping is being performed which increases the overall success of the entire process. Raccoons use a communal latrine so oftentimes feces clean-up needs to be considered as well.

RACCOON FECES CLEAN-UP

There are only two critters where we emphasize feces removal and clean-up: Bats & Raccoons. Both typically have concentrated areas (latrines) for their feces but also because of the severity of diseases that are in their feces. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH RACCOON FECES. Raccoons can excrete high numbers of roundworm eggs through their feces and it can lead to serious health issues in humans as they affect the central nervous system, and affect our brain. Just FYI, worm eggs can last for a YEAR in their case. Setting aside that terrifying fact, their waste can carry a number of other serious diseases which directly affect humans. To clean the attic, We carefully remove all of the waste, most by hand and smaller particles by HEPA vacuum. Then we apply special sanitizers, including an enzyme-based anti-microbial solution that eliminates any biohazard organic waste from animals, including droppings and urine.
