Highly-Effective Woodpecker Control & Hazing Services
OUR HAZING SERVICES
Our company prefers to provide Woodpecker Control & Hazing Services over any form of trapping. Trapping requires a permitting process and means that the bird will be euthanized or lethally trapped. We will not trap & relocate. To us, that is unethical to offer the service since it is a bird & they fly. They will come right back! Hazing involves the use of multiple measures: physical, electronic & visual scare tactics.
We have had tremendous success with Woodpecker Hazing. We strategically place enough hazing devices to make the birds feel pressure so they will relocate to a place where they feel more comfortable. All hazing measures are dependent on the exact specifics of your situation. For a reasonable fee, we will come to your property to assess the situation and determine what hazing measures are required and provide you with a strategy for us to implement and costs involved. OUR PROGRAM WORKS!
Woodpeckers peck on homes typically for three reasons:
- A woodpecker is searching for insects. If you see holes drilled or chipped away not only do you have woodpecker damage, but it can also mean you have insects living in your external boards that the woodpecker found.
- A male woodpecker is drumming to make as loud a noise as possible to attract a mate and to announce to other male woodpeckers that this is his territory. Although most of the times they use hollow branches but sometimes a gutter, siding or your chimney can serve as a substitute.
- Woodpeckers can use your home as a site for a nest or roost hole if the woodpecker seems to be making a round hole big enough for it to enter.
